Time Moves On

An endless blue sky,
Dancing fields of gold,
Distant moons on the horizon.
Flowers bloom,
Sand drifts in the wind,
Time moves on.
Ruins of another time,
Another life,
Return to dust.
The stars burn,
The sun shines,
White dots the sky like ships upon the sea,
As seeds grow upon barren earth.
Steel machines lie unmoving,
Lights flicker from within cracked glass,
The sounds, the memories of yesterday,
Echo throughout hallow stone.
An endless night sky,
Fields of green,
Starlight pierces through the dark,
Calm waters become a mirror,
A reflection, a dream,
As trees sway in the wind,
Time moves on.
Above and below,
The memories remain,
Crystal untouched,
Gemstones uncarved,
Alongside rusted metal,
Reclaimed by the earth.
Waves tear down mountains,
Coral colors the barren floor,
Creatures hunt deep below,
Where light cannot reach,
Islands lie in wait till they rise towards the clouds.
An endless blue sky,
Dancing fields of gold,
Distant moons on the horizon.
Flowers bloom upon ruins,
Sand drifts in the wind and gathers,
Time moves on.
Ruins of another time,
Another life,
Overgrown and lost.
Sunsets and drifting clouds,
Steel machines lie unmoving,
Darkness rests within cracked glass,
The sounds, the memories of yesterday,
Remain silent.
An endless night sky,
Fields of green,
Ghosts pierce through the dark,
As trees sway in the wind,
Stones untouched,
Waves tear down mountains,
Islands rise towards the clouds.
An endless cycle,
Within an eternal sky;
