Moonlit Earth

Far away in the night sky, the moon watches over the earth.
Even in the sun’s light it watches over those below.
In the evening sky the butterflies dance in the light of the first stars.
The clouds colored by the setting sun, change from the brightest pink to the silver of the moon.
In the rivers flows water clear that holds life and shares it’s waters with any passing stranger.
In the night sky, the moon’s warm gentle light shines upon those sleeping within its light
The color of the butterflies changes in the moonlit sky, as rest for the night.
Far away in the sky the moon appears so close, yet like an illusion it cannot be touched but only seen.
The gentle and mysterious moon watches over the earth.
Even in the light of the sun, it still watches over us.
