Curse

There is a place where the sun’s light hardly ever shines, a place where a song can be herd. A song for the sun, a song for the moon, a song for the earth, a gentle lullaby, a gentle requiem. Near the end of the artificial paradise, deep in the bottom of the earth I am forever fated to sing prayers all alone, in this paradise of light and shadow. I cannot die by a mortal hand, my life is eternal, an immortal life. Trapped forever in this place, forever alone, I sing a requiem for the past, for the forgotten voices buried beneath the earth. Someday, I’ll see the sun again, I’ll pray for that day to come, the day when I am free from this curse.
