"The Little Bird" or The Sky

A little bird files into the sky; you and I wish to fly like the little bird.
Far away from this lonely place, into the world beyond.
Underneath an ancient tree, overlooking the world below.
What did it see, what happened here so long ago?
Do you remember the promise I made here, with the one I hold dear so long ago?
He is far away from me, on a journey, a warrior that is trying to find his place in this world.
Determined to find an answer to our existence.
Can we fly like that little bird, that flew into the endless sky?
I sing a song, a gentle lullaby, of our memories.
I am waiting, I am watching, listening, and remember what I've seen.
Where do we start, where do we end?
I have so many questions.
He would always listen to me and I, him.
Time is passing by, day by day, month then year.
Should I go to find him, in the world beyond?
I will go, but will the journey fill the void I have within?
I wonder aimlessly but find many things both physical and emotional.
I see the places he’s been to, the things he did.
But still I keep going.
Every moment in this world is immeasurable, so is every memory of him and me.
No matter where I go, the loneliness in my heart won’t disappear.
I still keep the promise I made so long ago, like that day.
Where should I go, when do I stop, am I still just starting?
Taking the path home is where I’ll go now, for I am too tried to continue.
“A little bird files into the sky; you and I wish to fly like the little bird.”
“Far away from this lonely place, into the world beyond.”
“Underneath an ancient tree, overlooking the world below.”
“Is where you and I made a promise.”
“You kept that promise and so did I.”
“But you are gone, like the little bird.”
“Soon I will fall into a deep sleep, and leave this world.”
“If I could be reborn, I would want to be with you again.”
“But for now I wish to fly away  into the sky, beyond the stars, to see this beautiful world from above.”
“To find you, as I become part of the sky we so dearly loved to see.”
