Alone, I'll live On (Rewrite)

Alone, I live on,
Among the memories,
Within the ruins of yesterday,
I continue on, despite the pain.
We once lived a blissful fragile life,
Despite the danger,
And knowing that in a blink of an eye,
Everything could change.
Since the moment we met,
This once pitiable girl,
A bystander to fate,
Became something more.
Within the colors,
The fragments of memory,
Are the pieces you all left behind,
The ones who gave me my wings.
Adorned in colors,
Painting the once lonely white,
In vibrant burning light.
I’ll defy fate,
And end this wretched story,
The way we’ve always wanted.
Even if we are just particles of stardust,
In time’s great expanse,
Within this vast, lonely universe.
Hold me tight,
Gently swaddle me in warm light,
Within the memories we share.
I’ll hold them close within my heart,
Just as you once did me.
Stars implode as they die,
A brief moment of blinding light,
As they scatter life-giving dust.
Just as oceans become deserts,
And streams become rivers.
Life continues on.
Alone,
Among the memories,
Within the ruins of yesterday,
I continue on, despite the loneliness and pain.
I’ll tear down this broken system,
This flawed, sad future,
For the dream and the peace we once fought for.
I’ll defy fate,
And end this wretched story,
The way we’ve always wanted.
Petals scatter,
As seeds fall and bloom again,
Even as the world is scarred by war.
Since the moment we met,
This once pitiable girl,
A bystander to fate,
Became something more.
Within the colors,
The fragments of memory,
Are the pieces you all left behind,
The ones who gave me my wings.
Adorned in colors,
Painting the once lonely white,
In vibrant burning light.
A star, an angel was born.
Because of all of you,
The ones I hold dear to my heart.
Alone I may lose my way,
But your light still guides me home,
And into the light.
We once lived a blissful fragile life,
Despite the danger,
And knowing that in a blink of an eye,
Everything could change.
Yet, we still loved this broken world.
I still love this broken world.
As the years,
The centuries pass by,
I’ll continue on.
Even if we are just particles of stardust,
In time’s great expanse,
Within this vast, lonely universe.
Hold me tight,
Gently swaddle me in warm light,
Within the memories we share.
I’ll hold them close within my heart,
Just as you once did me,
Even as we said farewell.
Alone, I live on,
Among the memories,
Within the ruins of yesterday,
I continue on, despite all the pain I bear.
Since the moment we met,
This once pitiable girl,
A bystander to fate,
Became something more.
Within the colors,
The fragments of memory,
Are the pieces you all left behind,
The ones who gave me my wings.
A star, an angel was born.
Because of all of you,
The ones I hold dear to my heart.
Adorned in colors,
Painting the once lonely white,
In vibrant burning light.
I’ll defy fate,
And end this wretched story,
The way we’ve always wanted.
Even though you’re all gone,
Despite your deaths.
You are all still here,
My lights,
My guiding stars.
As the years,
The centuries pass by,
I’ll continue on.
Even if we are just particles of stardust,
A faint memory,
In time’s great expanse,
Within this vast, lonely universe.
We once called this earth home,
This beautifully flawed, broken world,
This earth you loved,
Is the place you all left behind.
Though alone, I’ll live on,
Among the memories,
Within the ruins of yesterday,
Despite my broken heart,
I’ll live on for you.
For this world,
I’ll become its guardian angel,
It’s guiding light, a star.
For all of you,
For me,
I’ll continue to live;

Gravity

As the countdown starts, I see your smiling face.
Blasting off into the endless sky, you go.
So hopeful, you’re filled with aspirations and wishes.
Nothing deters you; your fear is just an ember.
Till it all begins to fall apart.
On every starlit night, you brought me to gaze upon the millions, the billions, the uncountable number of lights.
Always softly speaking to me, gently holding me close.
As you bestowed your dreams onto me,
As we spoke aloud, our intertwined desires.
Like a pair of binary stars, nothing can pull us apart.
Even if black holes and supernovas materialize,
And galaxies fly apart.
Gravity ties us together.
Blasting off into the endless sky, you go.
So hopeful, you’re filled with aspirations and wishes.
Nothing deters you; your emotions are just an ember.
Till it all begins to fall apart.
Burning bright, the flame ignites.
The chemicals react and dance.
I know, you knew,
That defying gravity meant possibly losing our dreams.
Your falling, I’m falling.
Caught in orbit, all I see is the endless space above.
Constellations connect the sky,
As branches of the galaxy wrap around the planet.
Ghosts dot the sky; dark matter dances in light’s shadow.
Atoms form, Hydrogen and Helium react.
Stars implode and burst,
Stardust flies into the void to start again.
As the countdown starts, I see your smiling face.
Blasting off into the endless sky, you go.
So hopeful, you’re filled with aspirations and wishes.
Our love is just an ember,
Till it repeats all over again.
Blue and red, yellow and white,
The in-between orange,
Stars sparkle and shine in all their forms.
Even as the elements burn and consume.
Always softly speaking to me, gently holding me close.
As you bestowed your dreams onto me,
As we spoke aloud, our intertwined desires.
Burning bright, the flame ignites.
The chemicals react and dance.
I know, you knew,
That defying gravity meant possibly starting over again.
Neutron and dwarf stars emerge from the cold void.
Comets and asteroids fly across the sky.
Golden dust, Oxygen and Iron, Sulfur and Calcium,
Freely dance in the solar winds.
Interstellar cradles of dust gently glow,
Enveloping us in life-giving warmth.
As the countdown starts, I see your smiling face.
Blasting off into the endless sky, you go.
So hopeful, you’re filled with aspirations and wishes.
Our love is just an ember,
Till it sparkles and ignites into a blazing light.
Even if black holes and supernovas materialize,
And galaxies fly apart.
Like a pair of binary stars, gravity ties us together,
Dying and reforming, the story begins anew.
Even in death and rebirth,
Our love is forever eternal;

The Silence of Babylon

Beneath the ever-watching stars,
Within the twilight between the sun and moon,
Wandering aimlessly through empty plains.
Till the silhouette of ancient ruins,
Appear before me.
As radiant sunlight illuminates the once-grand gates of Babylon
The memories of a distant past emerge
As an echo of distant voices within the howling wind,
As a hazy mirage that dances within the sands of time.
Till nature’s embrace and time’s law reclaim what is theirs,
As sand drifting on the wind.
Beneath the ever-watching stars,
Within the twilight between the sun and moon,
The silence of Babylon, the myth that we made.
Rings through the ruins and from the gates that gleam gold within the twilight.

Spirits Walk Among Us

Entangled by the nettle,
Silenced by the knife.
The cards fall scattered and reversed,
As it all comes crumbling down.
Beware the hemlock,
Don’t pluck the red poppies of endless sleep.
The fey folk warn of the dark,
The neighbors that seek your death.
The runes speak,
The knots intertwine,
Head their call.
The candle burns an eerie glow,
As the cauldron bubbles and boils the witch’s brew,
The old gods ask for eternal vows.
Take a branch of the yew,
Wrap it with hawthorn,
And carve into it charms of protection,
For the banshee warns of a coming death.
Entangled by the nettle,
Silenced by the knife.
The cards fall scattered and reversed,
As it all comes crumbling down.
The bones disperse and dissolve into ash,
As the gods of life and death continue their eternal dance.
Lost in the dreams,
Caught in the weave of magic,
The magic of the fey lures you to your death.
Don’t consume the tea of nightshade,
Don’t break the circle.
The house Baba Yaga is moving,
As the Dullahan rides off into the night.
The pages fade,
As the promise is broken.
The runes speak,
The knots intertwine,
Don’t ignore the gods,
Head their call.
An endless cycle continues on,
A never-ending spell.
The dragons of fire and water,
Bring forth truth, wealth, and caution.
The druids practice,
The shamans speak,
The witches brew,
The sorceress weave,
The bards enthrall.
Entangled by the nettle,
Silenced by the knife.
The cards fall scattered and reversed,
As it all comes crumbling down.
Beware the hemlock,
Don’t pluck the red poppies of endless sleep.
The fey folk warn of the dark,
The neighbors that seek your death,
For the hunter of fear and hatred comes.
Consume the fireweed,
Take a branch of yew and birch,
Sing a song of parsley, sage, rosemary, and thyme.
Bless the sword of gold and iron,
Bejeweled with lapis lazuli and moonstone,
With diamonds born from fire.
Entangled by the nettle,
Silenced by the knife.
The cards fall scattered and reversed,
As it all comes crumbling down.
The bones disperse and dissolve into ash,
The runes speak,
The knots intertwine,
Don’t ignore the gods,
Head their call,
For the spirits walk among us;

I Lived V 2.0

I’m still here,
I’m still here to live.
And here I hope to stay,
Even if everyone else goes.
Here I hope to endure the fire,
Even if everything is left broken and scarred.
I’ll still be here,
Until the end.
Through the pain and sorrow,
The joys and laughs,
The good and the bad.
I’ve been to many places,
Within stories of faraway worlds,
Among the mountains and plains,
To the ocean and winter forests,
Yet…
There is still so much to experience,
So much to see and hear,
I’ve yet to meet that one person.
I’m not yet at the end,
I’m not yet there.
I’m still here,
Here to live.
And here I hope I stay,
Even if everyone else runs away.
Here I hope to endure the fire,
Even if a flood comes crashing through,
To wash away the ashes,
And the world comes crumbling down,
Leaving only overgrown ruins.
Here I hope to stay,
To watch seeds grow,
To see stars shine,
Upon this beautifully broken world.
I’m still here,
Until the end.
Through the pain and sorrow,
The joys and laughs,
The good and the bad.
I’ve survived, I’m surviving,
Scarred, lost, and wandering,
A dreamer forever dreaming,
Broken and incomplete.
I’m still here,
I’m still here to live.
And here I hope to stay,
Even if everyone else goes.
I’ll endure it all,
The pain and grief,
To be indomitable,
In spirit and heart.
I’m still here,
Here to live.
And here I hope I stay,
Even if everyone else runs away.
Here I hope to endure the fire,
Even if the world comes crumbling down,
Leaving only overgrown ruins,
And lost memories.
I’m still here to live,
To continue the story,
Upon this beautifully broken world.
Yet…
I wish you could be here,
To see me shine brightly.
As I live my story,
When I reach the end,
That final chapter.
I wish for that single moment,
When I can finally tell you,
“I lived;”

Forvermore

Far above, beyond my sight.
A single bird flies alone.
Petals scatter on the wind,
Snow falls soundless upon the earth.
Time passes by, even as the clock stops.
Rusted gears and parts unable to move.
The crackle of burning wood,
The calm lapping waves.
Beyond the clouds,
The stars forever shine,
Even as ghosts,
Yet still living on as stardust.
Overgrown ruins,
Lush forests,
Golden plains that dance with the breeze.
Far above, beyond my sight.
A single bird flies alone.
As a speck of dust,
Within the sky.
Petals scatter on the wind,
Snow falls soundless upon the earth.
Dormant volcanos,
Yet still, burn far below.
Broken stone,
To sand then glass.
Crystals grow deep beneath the earth,
As gemstones and metals are turned into treasures.
Time passes by, even as the clock stops.
Rusted gears and parts unable to move.
Beyond the clouds,
The stars forever shine,
Even as ghosts,
Yet still living on as stardust.
From far away, I hear the birds sing.
From far below, I dream of the sky.
Song and dance,
Chase away the lonely night.
Playing children,
Bring warmth to the day.
The crackle of burning wood,
The calm lapping waves.
Overgrown ruins,
Lush forests,
Golden plains that dance with the breeze.
The world moves on,
As life comes and goes.
Far above, beyond my sight.
A single bird flies alone,
Dreaming of the stars above.
Light dances within the sky,
Sounds echo freely from the earth.
Footprints fade with time,
As new ones appear.
Beyond the clouds,
The stars forever shine,
Even as ghosts,
Yet still living on as stardust.
From far away, I hear the birds sing.
From far below, I dream of the sky.
Far away from now, I too, will return to stardust.
Fly away, far above beyond the sky.
My memories, my dream.
Far above, beyond my sight.
A single bird flies alone.
Forevermore;

Everlasting Light

Deep in sleep, the dragon dreams.
Of times long past,
Of a world blessed with everlasting light.
The scarred world lies in ruin,
Waiting to be reborn.
The wind carries a maiden’s prayer,
A song of rain and life.
To bless the scarred earth,
To rise from the ashes a new beginning.
The maiden sings as she weaves her spell,
A creation of hope, of love.
Among the ruins, the light of hearth fires shine.
The once desolate land,
Begins to bloom again.
The dried stream,
Again, flows forth.
The once silent world,
Is filled with a chorus of voices.
The sleeping dragon again wakes.
A guardian of a lost age,
A bringer of lost hope,
Rises again.
The wind carries a maiden’s prayer,
A song of life.
To bless the scarred earth.
The maiden sings as she weaves her spell,
A creation of hope, of love.
Dancing beneath the stars,
A record of those long gone.
The scarred world filled with endless memories,
Continues reborn with new light.
Singing and dancing,
Weaving, creating,
A song to bless the world.
The lonely maiden,
For love gives her last gift to her dearly departed.
The dragon comes,
A flame that forever burns.
To once again guard the blessed world,
To watch over the maiden of light.
The weeping child of the stars.
Once deep in sleep, the dragon dreamt.
Of times long past,
Of a world blessed with everlasting light.
A peaceful village,
A loving home,
Was the maiden’s home,
Till ruin and hatred,
Devoured and stole all she loved.
The wind carries a maiden’s prayer,
A song of life.
To heal the scarred earth.
The maiden sings as she weaves her spell,
A creation of hope, of love.
Singing and dancing,
Weaving, creating,
A song to bless the world.
As the once dreaming dragon,
Guards the everlasting light;

Oh Sweet Maiden

Oh lonely child,
Sweet maiden of light.
Dance and sing,
Bless the world with light.
With hair the color of white stardust,
Your eyes of burning blue.
A voice so pure,
That your song reaches the heavens.
May your presence upon this earth,
Bring forth hope and rebirth.
You dance and sing,
With hair and cloth a flutter,
Like the wings of a bird,
That flies freely within the vast sky.
Why do you cry,
Oh sweet maiden of light.
What wounds you so?
Oh dear child.
Le la, ma ni so rue,
May this world be blessed.
So ma na rea, tula ra she.
Dance and sing,
Oh lonely child.
Bring forth light,
Upon this broken world.
Le la, ma ni so rue,
So ma na rea, tula ra she,
Fala na sha lea,
Ta lou, mana sea,
Alou ta me.
Oh lonely child,
Sweet maiden of light.
Dance and sing,
Bless the world with light.
With hair the color of white stardust,
Your eyes of burning blue.
May your presence upon this earth,
Bring forth hope and rebirth.
As you sing,
As you dance,
Why do you weep?
With hair all a flutter,
With gleaming spear in hand.
Your tears fall upon the earth,
As drops of red soak the vibrant green.
Sora la ra ni,
Cala rea tula nala he.
Dance and sing,
Oh sweet maiden,
Sing.
Le la, ma ni so rue,
So ma na rea, tula ra she,
Fala na sha lea,
Ta lou, mana sea,
Alou ta me.
Bring forth light,
Upon this broken world.
Sing.
Cala fa, ta lou cara fey,
Sora ni ta me ra,
Sha ra, sha ra,
Le la ma nea so rue.
Oh lonely child,
Sweet maiden of light.
Le la, ma ni so rue,
Sora na me,
Sho ra, sho ra,
Tala rea cala fey,
Torra, fala ni ta lou,
Mana alou she me ra le,
Dance and sing,
Sing.
Fara fe ra le mana rea,
Corra cala me ne so rue,
Fala, fala sho ra ne.
You dance and sing,
With gleaming spear in hand,
With hair and cloth a flutter,
Like the wings of a bird,
That flies freely within the vast sky.
Why do you cry,
Oh sweet maiden of light.
What wounds you so?
Why do you cry?
Torra la ma na le ra she,
Le la, ma ni so rue,
So mana, tula ra sea,
Fala na sha lea,
Ta lou, cala fe rea,
Alou sho corra fey,
Ala me, fala fa fe,
Ra she la rea.
Oh lonely child,
Sweet maiden of light,
As you bless this world with light.
Please tell me why,
You are in pain,
Le la, ma ni so rue;

A Small Wish - Rewrite

On a flower-covered cliff overlooking the sea, stands a lone girl dressed in white. Once so many years ago at this place, a promise was made between dear friends.

Together they wrote their wishes on paper, and put them in a small bottle. Hoping that as it floated far out to sea, their wishes would someday come true.

Drifting away, the wishes disappear upon the horizon. Taking the hopes and dreams of dear friends. It still feels like it was just yesterday, that we all once stood here together.

One day a prince and a peasant girl came and made a vow. Forever binding their heart and souls to each other, but that was when it all began to fall apart. When fate showed them the cruel truth of the world.

This story of ours once had a happy beginning, but now you are no longer here. So here I stand, holding onto a wish, hoping that it may someday reach you.

Drifting away is my small wish, my tiny hope. Filled with sorrow and a bit of regret. To protect me you gave up your kind and loving heart. So, you could give me a future.

Drifting away, the wishes disappear upon the horizon. Taking a prayer far away to the sky beyond. I hope for the day where we are all reunited again, and sharing the same happy future.

Standing alone upon the cliff, as my prayer drifts away. Filled with sorrow and a bit of regret. If we could just start it all over again, would I be able to bring you back to me?

If We Can Meet Again - Rewrite

Sinking deep into the sea, I can no longer move. Wishing that I had told you those words that remain within my heart. As I drift to sleep within the place between the sea and sky, I pray that we can someday meet again.

I can no longer recall, the moment we first met. Now only the memories of the days we spent together remain. Dancing on the shore, even as my weak and tired body ached in endless pain.

But those happy days were never meant to last, were they? If only I wonder, could things have been different? Could I have told you those words? If I had been brave enough to tell you? What would have changed? Did you feel the same, or was it my weak heart yearning to be loved?

Even though it hurts to move, to laugh, and cry. I love you far too much to stop and simply fade away. Though I can no longer dance alongside you, I will always be with you.

Everything is burning; everything is gone. All I can do is cry out, even though my voice has rusted away. Finding each other, we escaped and watched as the life we once had was destroyed and taken from us.

So tired, so broken. All I can do is cry and pray that everything would be alright. Somehow finding a bit of hope, we… We danced and sang, beside the sea, from dawn to dusk with you. Till I could no longer move.

Even though it hurts to move, to laugh, and cry. I love you far too much to stop and simply fade away. Though I can no longer dance with you, I’ll sing a song just for you.

Though you are now far away, I can still feel you. Holding tight to my broken form those words that remain within my heart. As I drift to sleep within the place between the sea and sky, I pray that if we meet again, I'll be able to say, "I love you."

Field of Flowers

Broken melancholic heart,
A cold lonely form,
A crying child.
The once warm embrace is gone,
Replaced with a cold emptiness,
That cannot be undone.
No longer does the faraway light shine.
Gone, the darkness takes its place.
Will the memories fade?
Will what was left behind turn to dust?
Your voice has rusted away,
A lost fragment of time,
Scatters upon the wind.
Where is it that you are?
What shall happen next?
Silent prayers,
A childish wish.
Pieces of a time long gone,
Gather for one last time.
A hope for tomorrow,
A distant dream.
Gone are the days of innocence,
The moments of childish curiosity,
Of wonder and joy.
Only the memories remain,
Of those precious days.
Broken melancholic heart,
A cold lonely form,
A crying child.
Will the memories fade?
Will what was left behind turn to dust?
What will remain of the you of yesterday?
Flowers bloom and wilt,
Their remains scatter upon the earth and wind.
A remnant of color, the petals dance upon the breeze.
Your voice has rusted away,
Your face is slowly fading,
Lost fragments of time,
That I desperately hold onto.
An elegy, a quiet requiem,
A gentle breeze, warm sunlight.
The once warm embrace is gone,
Replaced with a cold emptiness,
That cannot be undone.
No longer does the faraway light shine.
Gone, the darkness takes its place.
Where is it that you are?
What shall happen next?
Silent prayers,
A childish wish.
Pieces of a time long gone,
Gather for one last time.
A hope for tomorrow,
A distant dream.
Broken melancholic heart,
A cold lonely form,
A crying child.
Gone are the days of innocence,
The moments of childish curiosity,
Of wonder and joy.
Only the memories remain,
Of those precious days.
If only time could turn back,
If only.
Repeating, chanting,
A spell, a wish.
The once warm embrace is gone,
Replaced with a cold emptiness,
That cannot be undone.
Bent and broken,
Rusted and scarred.
The machines of war,
Lay scattered upon the lone field.
The scent of flames,
Of warm and unfeeling things.
The sound of distant whispers,
Of the weeping earth.
What will remain of the you of yesterday?
Flowers bloom and wilt,
Their remains scatter upon the earth and wind.
A remnant of color, the petals dance upon the breeze.
Your voice has rusted away,
Your face is slowly fading,
Lost fragments of time,
That I desperately hold onto.
An elegy, a quiet requiem,
A gentle breeze, warm sunlight.
Silent prayers,
A childish wish.
Pieces of a time long gone,
Gather for one last time.
A hope for tomorrow,
A distant dream.
Only the memories remain,
Of those precious days.
Broken melancholic heart,
A cold lonely form,
An aching soul is crying.
The fragments break and scatter,
Upon the wind.
Will the memories fade?
Will what was left behind turn to dust?
What will remain of the you of yesterday?
If only time could turn back,
If only.
Repeating, chanting,
A spell, a wish.
If only…
Broken melancholic heart,
A cold lonely form,
The crying child,
The aching weeping soul is here.
Waiting for you,
Silently praying,
Wishing…
A hope for tomorrow,
A distant dream.
Bent and broken,
Rusted and scarred.
The machines of war,
Lay scattered upon the lone field.
Overgrown by flowers,
Colorfully dancing in the wind.
Though the once warm embrace is gone,
Those distant days of innocence.
This broken melancholic heart,
All alone within a field of flowers,
Is still waiting for you;

Alone, I'll Live On

Alone,
Among the countless memories.
The pieces of the past,
Ruins of a time long gone,
I continue on.
The life we had was taken away,
In just a blink of an eye.
Within the colors,
The fragments of memory,
Are parts of all of you,
The ones who gave me my wings.
Adorned in colors,
Painting the once lonely white,
In vibrant light.
I stand before the curse,
The repeating history,
I swore to help end.
Even if we are just particles of stardust,
In time’s great expanse,
Of this lonely vast universe.
I continue on,
Alone,
Among the countless memories.
The pieces of the past,
In ruins of a time long gone.
Hold me tight,
Gently swaddle me in warm light,
Within the memories we share.
Petals scatter,
The seeds fall and bloom again,
Even as the world is scarred by war.
Stars glow brightly as they die,
A brief moment of blinding light,
As they scatter life-giving dust.
I continue on,
Despite the pain.
The life we had was taken away,
In just a blink of an eye.
Within the colors,
The fragments of memory,
Are parts of all of you,
The ones who gave me my wings.
Adorned in colors,
Painting the once lonely white,
In vibrant light.
This once pathetic girl,
Become an angel,
A hope in a darkening world.
Even as the years,
The centuries pass by,
I continue on.
Even as I stand before the curse,
The repeating history,
I swore to help end.
Even if we are just particles of stardust,
In time’s great expanse,
Of this lonely vast universe.
Alone,
Among the countless memories.
The pieces of the past,
Ruins of a time long gone,
I continue on.
Your words,
Your memories,
Move me forward,
Even in times of hopelessness,
You give me strength.
Countless tears fall,
Pages, chapters of our story,
Repeat in my mind,
As I think of all of you.
Hold me tight,
Gently swaddle me in warm light,
Within the memories we share.
I’ll tear down this broken system,
This flawed dream, this future,
For the dream, the peace we once fought for.
Petals scatter,
As the seeds fall and bloom again,
Even as the world is scarred by war.
I continue on,
Despite the pain.
Stars glow brightly as they die,
A brief moment of blinding light,
As they scatter life-giving dust.
Even if we are just particles of stardust,
In time’s great expanse,
Of this lonely vast universe.
I’ll live on.
Alone,
Among the countless memories.
The pieces of the past,
Ruins of a time long gone,
I continue on.
The life we had was taken away,
In just a blink of an eye.
Within the colors,
The fragments of memory,
Are parts of all of you,
The ones who gave me my wings.
Adorned in colors,
Painting the once lonely white,
In vibrant light.
This once pathetic girl,
Become an angel,
A hope in a darkening world.
Even as the years,
The centuries pass by,
I live on.
An angle of light,
Born from the dream we shared,
The memories you gave me.
Even though you’re all gone,
Despite your death.
You are all still here,
My light,
My guiding star.
I stand before the curse,
The repeating tragedy,
We swore to end.
Even if we are just particles of stardust,
In time’s great expanse,
Of this lonely vast universe.
We once called this earth home,
This beautifully flawed world,
This earth you loved,
Is the place you all left behind.
Though alone,
Among the countless memories.
The pieces of the past,
Ruins of a time long gone,
I’ll live on for you.
For this world,
I’ll become its guardian angel,
For you and for me,
I’ll continue on;

Even as I Fall

I’m falling down, through the window.
I’m falling down, through the treetops.
Just where am I going? Where are you?
I’m falling down, far into the void of space.
That never-ending sky, full of stars.
Why aren’t you here?
I can’t find you anywhere, even as I fall.
You left behind only a sprig of mistletoe and a piece of snapdragon,
Wrapped with ivy and nightshade.
At the roots of the yew tree, the place we last met.
Cinnamon and cedar, bunches of heliotrope and orange blooms.
Cannot heal what you have broken.
I’m falling down, through the window.
Onto a bed of hawthorn, birch, mahogany, and milkweed.
I cannot forgive, but I will let go.
As I weave a charm of juniper and fireweed.
Even as I’m falling down, far off into the sea of stars.
I will rise and I will burn bright again.
I will rise again;

Across the Worn Road, Beyond the Blue

Note: I wanted to post this along with some artwork to go along with this but it's been taking me longer than I would like to finish it. So the artwork will come later once I finish it. But Enjoy!

Lost in time,
Wandering within the wind,
Are the words you left behind.
Across the worn road,
Flowers bloom,
Silently expressing meanings,
Words that we could not say aloud.
Above, the sky expands beyond the blue,
Far into the endless night sky,
To the place where the stars watch above.
Forevermore, they burn till they return to stardust.
Forevermore, I am here below their gentle glow.
Lost in time,
Wandering within the wind,
Are the feelings you left me,
That linger on bittersweetly.
Life continues to bloom,
Despite its fragility,
Despite the things that seek to destroy it.
The cycle of life keeps going,
Forevermore, even as the world falls apart and returns to stardust.
Forevermore, I watch the world change.
Across the sea, past the endless changing scenery,
Across the worn old road,
Past the fading footprints,
Flowers bloom,
Silently expressing bottled up feelings.
Above, the sky expands beyond the blue,
Far into the endless night sky,
The kingdom of the stars.
Lost in time,
Deep in memory,
Wandering within the wind.
Are the things you left behind,
The lingering emotions,
Your bittersweet face,
Your once clear voice,
All the fragments of you,
From the place where you sleep,
Where you forever watch the world without me.
May these feathers of mine,
My countless thoughts,
The bottled-up feelings,
That I could not say aloud.
Someday reach you,
Even as the stars return to stardust.
Even across the worn road,
Flowers bloom.
Forevermore,
For eternity,
I am here,
Alone, flying in the blue sky without you.
Lost in the thoughts,
Deep in the memories,
Within the countless gifts and feelings,
You gave and left me.
Forevermore,
I pray that these feathers of mine,
My countless thoughts,
The once bottled-up feelings,
The once silent words,
The tears I cried,
Our bittersweet memories,
All that is me, every single part,
Someday reach you within the kingdom of the stars.
Even as forevermore,
Lost in time,
Wandering within the wind,
Are all the things we have left behind,
The love we forever hold,
The love we have,
My undying love for you;

Haunting Blue

Frozen light, haunting blue
In silence the ruins sleep,
Within the mirror of water
Rusted gears,
Broken mechanical parts.
Are swallowed in beds of green
The missing chapters,
Lost pages,
Turn to dust in the wind
A key of stars, the lock of time,
Hold the frozen memories,
In haunting blue

A Bebop La Lee, Come With Me

White tulips, a basket of thyme.
Oh, a bebop la-na na,
Come with me.
An old radio,
A field of golden wheat.
A gathering of orange blossoms,
Decorate the old truck.
Oh, a lee la oh de,
A bebop la-na na,
Come with me.
Rings of ivy,
The old store down the street.
Stacked rusted cans,
A worn-out slingshot.
Freesias and marigolds,
Tied with mistletoe ribbon.
Gathered and adorning the streets.
Static on the radio,
A bebop la-na lee.
White tulips, a basket of thyme.
Oh, a lee la oh de,
Come with me.
Penny candy,
Scent of cooking food.
A line of stalls,
A menagerie of people.
Painted faces,
Crowns of flowers and plastic.
Oh, a bebop la-na na,
A lee la oh de,
Come with me.
Oh, la lee lay,
Me ra lou la.
A gathering of orange blossoms,
Decorate the old truck.
Let’s take a ride.
The red static radio,
Is it broken or have you found something?
Oh, a lee la oh de,
A bebop la-na na,
Come with me.
Let’s wear masks of wood and paint,
Tied with buttercup string.
Don’t touch the thorns,
Don’t pluck the wilted roses.
White tulips, a basket of thyme.
Driving past a field of golden wheat.
Stacked rusted cans,
A worn-out slingshot.
Freesias and marigolds,
Tied with mistletoe ribbon.
Gathered and adorning the streets.
Colored dust,
Glittering fire sparks.
Shower everything in color.
Oh, a lee la oh de,
Come with me.
Penny candy,
Scent of cooking food.
The old store down the street.
Painted faces,
Crowns of flowers and plastic.
Hidden words,
Hidden lies.
Smile,
Laugh.
Don’t hide behind the plastic mask.
Oh, a bebop la-na na,
A lee la oh de,
Come with me.
Oh, la lee lay,
Me ra lou la.
La oh me ra de,
Let’s sing,
Alongside the old radio.
A gathering of orange blossoms,
White tulips, a basket of thyme.
Rings of ivy and buttercups.
Freesias and marigolds,
Tied with mistletoe ribbon.
No need for the field poppies,
Hold close the soft blue forget-me-nots.
Oh, a bebop la-na na,
Come with me.
A la, ra me rue na,
La la de, hello.
A rue ra la lay,
A lee la day.
The static is gone.
Bebop a la na me,
Hello again.
Cedarwood masks,
Adorned with red roses.
Holly and hawthorn.
Oh, a bebop la-na na,
Come with me.
Don’t consume the hemlock,
Avoid the wilted roses.
Come with me.
Oh, a bebop la-na na,
A lee la oh de,
A la, ra me rue na,
La la de, hello.
A rue ra la lay,
A lee la day.
White tulips, a basket of thyme.
Oh, a bebop la-na na,
Come with me.
Do you have the old red radio?
Past the fields of golden wheat,
In the old truck.
Oh, a bebop la-na na,
A la me you.
Will you stay with me?
Ree ra, la lay a de,
Hello, a lee la day,
Static, bebop oh le la day.
Tune the radio,
Bop a la, la la rue.
Sundew, peppermint, and sage.
Oh, a bebop la-na na,
Come with me.
Come with me;

I Lived

I’m still here,
I’m still here to live.
Here I hope I stay,
Even if everyone else goes.
Here I hope to endure the fire,
Even if everything is left scarred.
I’m still here,
Until the end.
Through the pain and sorrow,
To the joys and laughs.
I’ve been to many places,
In stories of other worlds,
On the open roads.
Yet…
There is still so much to experience,
So much to see and hear.
I’m not at the end yet,
I’m not yet there.
But I’m still here,
Still here to live.
Here I hope I stay,
Even if everyone else runs away.
Here I hope to endure the fire,
Even if a flood comes crashing through,
To wash away the ashes.
Here I hope to stay,
To watch seeds grow.
I’m still here,
Until the end.
Through the pain and sorrow,
To the joys and laughs.
I’ve survived, I’m scarred,
Nearly broken but-
I’m still here to live,
To continue the story,
Yet…
I wish you could be there,
To see me shine brightly.
As I live my story,
As I reach the end.
For that single moment,
I wish you can hear me say,
“I lived.”

Hiraeth

I’m here,
I’m still here.
After the last chapter,
After I read the final words,
After the movie ends.
I feel bittersweet joy,
A longing I can’t explain.
In a world not mine own,
I saw things I never saw before,
I found new things,
I met people not real,
I experienced a life not mine own.
It was my escape,
It has been my escape,
It has been my wings,
It has set me free.
I’m here,
I’m still here.
Even after the chapters end,
Even after the goodbye,
I’m still here to live.
I have never touched the sky,
I have never fell in love,
Yet I have,
Yet I have touched the sky,
And fell in love within another world.
With the dreams, the stories,
That keep my broken heart together.
Tell me a story,
Show me a story,
Give me a story to tell.
For what else can I do,
For I’m here on the sidelines,
I can’t do what you do with my own hands,
But in my dreams, in another world,
I am free, I am a shining star in the sky.
Even after losing those I called friends,
Even after losing someone dear,
Family…
I’m here,
I’m still here.
After the last chapter,
After I read the final words,
After the movie ends.
Even after the stories end,
Even after the goodbye,
I’m still here to live.
To laugh and cry,
To feel joy and pain,
To dream and hope,
To hate and give up,
To win and lose,
To love and grieve,
To do it all again and again,
To write the chapters,
Of the story I’ll leave behind.
I’m here,
I’m still here.
Even as one story ends,
Even after your gone.
I’m still here to live,
Until the last chapter,
Until I close the book.
I’m here,
I’m still here.
After the last chapter,
After I read the final words,
After the movie ends.
I feel bittersweet joy,
A longing I can’t explain.
For things I can’t explain,
For something I can’t touch or sense,
For its there yet not.
It was here before you left,
Its still here now.
I’m still here,
To write the story,
To live…
I’m still here;

Before the End

“You once told me stories.”
“Of fairy tales, folktales, and legends.”
“Stories of heroes who defeat the forces of evil.”
“Of a prince rescuing the princess.”
“Of a girl who tamed a beast and lived.”
“Of the sad reality of this world.”
“The things I wanted to forget.”
“And the things I wanted to become.”
All alone beneath the night sky,
I stand before our childhood sanctuary,
A place safe and hidden from the cruel world.
Here now I stand,
As I pray to god above.
For a world where you can all be happy,
A world that could only come true in fairy tales,
In the stories we once loved.
I live now in those stories,
Of heroes and villains.
I live the true reality,
That was hidden by honeyed lies.
Why did I put my hope in fairy tales?
Stories full of only dreams, hope, and gentle lies.
For they are why I follow this path,
They are why I begged god to let me become a hero,
To follow the innocent dream of a child.
So with sword in hand and with hope in my flawed heart,
I blindly joined a war I wasn’t ready for.
Is my suffering,
Is this pain and regret I feel,
A price I must pay for my past mistakes?
Deep in an ancient forest,
All alone beneath the night sky,
I stand before our hidden haven,
Hoping, praying, wishing,
Begging to god,
To save this flawed yet beautiful world,
This world that you live in.
That wish I made, that dream I held on to,
Was born of a child, a lonely and sad girl,
Who wanted nothing more than to protect those she held dear.
Here now I stand,
As I pray to god above,
For a world where you can all be happy.
You once told me stories.
Of fairy tales, folktales, and legends.
Stories of heroes who defeat the forces of evil.
Of a prince rescuing the princess.
Of a girl who tamed a beast and lived.
Of the sad reality of this world.
The things I wanted to forget.
And the things I wanted to become.
I don’t want to forget those bittersweet memories,
I want to hear your voice again,
To see your smiling face again,
Just once more…
Alone I stand before childhood home,
Our sanctuary, our safe haven from the world,
Hidden away deep in a forest,
Where only forgotten live.
Here now I stand,
As I pray to god above.
For a world where you can all be happy,
A world that could only come true in fairy tales,
In the stories we once loved.
I now live those stories,
As I tear away the honeyed lies,
Burn away the false hopes and gentle lies,
All so I can keep my promise,
Our dream alive.
Just how long has it been since that day?
How long ago was it that we promised,
That we begged god to let us follow this once hopeful path.
The dreams and hopes born from the innocent hearts of two lonely children.
For you, I left with sword in hand and hope in my broken heart,
I foolishly joined a war I wasn’t ready for.
Please forgive me, please forgive this foolish girl.
Is this pain and regret I feel,
A price I must pay for my past mistakes,
For all those sins I have and will make?
All alone beneath the night sky,
I stand before our childhood sanctuary,
A place safe and hidden from the cruel world.
Here now I stand,
As I pray to god above.
For a world where you can all be happy,
A world that could only come true in fairy tales.
I don’t want to forget those bittersweet memories,
I want to hear your voice again,
To see your smiling face again,
Just once more…
Why did I put my hope in fairy tales?
Stories full of only dreams, hope, and gentle lies.
For they are why I follow this path,
They are why I begged god to let me become a hero,
To follow the innocent dream of a child.
All I wanted was to be by your side,
To protect this beautiful broken world.
To protect you…
Please forgive me, god I beg you.
Tell me why I must suffer alone,
For why I couldn’t protect him in the end.
I this the price I must pay for my past mistakes?
Deep in an ancient forest,
All alone beneath the night sky,
I stand before our childhood sanctuary,
A place safe and hidden from the cruel world.
Here now I stand,
As I pray and beg to god above.
For a world where you could have been happy,
For a better world, a place where our dream came true.
For your soul to be able to gentle pass on,
For my memories of you to endure within my scared heart.
You told me them to set my free,
To give me hope,
To give me a memory.
I don’t want to forget them,
To not forget you.
Hoping, praying, wishing,
Begging god,
To let me once more hear your voice again,
To see your smiling face again,
Just once more…
Just once more before…
Here I now stand,
Living the last story,
The last dream you gave me,
This story of our own making.
Yet like all stories it must now end,
So here I stand,
Here I beg god for one thing.
To not let this beautiful sad story to not be lost,
To not be lost or erased.
In the stories you once told me,
I now leave my final words,
My final dream, my final hope,
My final prayer before the end;

Forget-me-not

Forget-me-nots surround me,
While stinging Nettles,
The cursed Nightshade,
Beg me to sleep.
All I hold are Forget-me-nots,
Nothing else.
Only thoughts and silent prayers are left to give.
Along with fragile dreams,
A world within my mind.
Broken glass,
Lies all over,
Tangled in red string,
That holds up glass stars.
The books…
The flowers…
A single candle flame…
Are they even real?
Scattered paper,
Fragments of a record,
Stained with tears and pencil led.
The only clues to thoughts, to memories,
I was so close to losing.
Forget-me-nots surround me,
While stinging Nettles,
The cursed Nightshade,
Beg me to sleep.
The glass shards,
Appear cold and sharp like knifes of ice.
The candle with a single flame,
Feels so warm, so hot.
All I hold are Forget-me-nots,
A single candle,
With hands tied by red string,
Nothing else, no one else.
Only thoughts and silent prayers are left to give.
Along with fragile dreams,
A world within my mind.
A dream, a dream,
An escape, an escape,
My freedom, my cage,
My own little world.
Broken glass,
Lies all over,
Tangled in red string,
That holds up glass stars,
My glass star heart.
The books…
The flowers…
The starlit sky…
A single candle flame…
A silent prayer…
Are they even real?
Scattered paper,
Fragments of a record,
Blooming Forget-me-nots,
Stained with tears and pencil led.
The only clues to thoughts, to memories,
Far away emotions,
I was close to losing.
I’m forgetting,
I’m remembering.
I’m losing,
I’m gaining-
The last sparks of light,
Of gentle fragile light,
That burns like starlight.
Its bittersweet,
Its lonely,
In this place,
Only silence,
As I weave together the pieces,
The fragments of-
All I hold are Forget-me-nots,
A single candle,
With hands tied by red string,
Nothing else, no one else.
Only thoughts and silent prayers are left to give.
Along with fragile dreams,
A world within my mind.
It’s all changing,
The birds are flying away,
The past is the past forever.
Yet will love,
Be indomitable?
For that is one thing,
I know I wish for.
How long have I silently been begging,
Quietly whispering a wordless prayer.
My glass star heart…
The books…
The flowers…
The starlit sky…
A single candle flame…
A silent prayer…
Are they even real?
Scattered paper,
Fragments of a record,
Blooming Forget-me-nots,
Stained with tears and pencil led,
Bits of red from cuts made by Thorns.
The only clues to thoughts, to memories,
Far away emotions,
All I hold so dearly to my broken soul,
My glass heart,
That I was close to losing,
That life is trying to take from me.
All I hold are Forget-me-nots,
A single candle,
With hands tied by red string,
What else is there to give?
What else can I dream?
What else can I see?
Forget-me-nots surround me,
While stinging Nettles,
The cursed Nightshade,
Beg me to sleep.
But Ivy and Holly,
Hold me back.
Fire burns away,
To ash they slowly become.
As in their place grows Hawthorn and Yew.
Forget-me-nots all over,
Broken glass still lies scattered,
Among a forest of books,
With glass stars and red string,
My glass star heart.
Are they even real?
Will love,
Be indomitable?
Will my silent prayers,
Be answered?
Will I always remember?
This inner world,
This other place.
That other me,
Are they even real?
Forget-me-nots surround me,
As I forever silently weave,
Quietly existing in my little world,
Embraced by the Forget-me-nots;

Chapter Four: Spell of Intertwining

“Tie me a knot of string, made with Holly and Ivy.”

“Give a gift of golden Wheat, with Basil and Thorn Apple.”

“The words of Freesia, the meaning of Edelweiss.”

“So silent, so quiet, so speak softly before them.”

“Before the lonely Yew, holding Cedar and Birch.”

“Wish well the spirits of Hawthorn.”

“Before you tie me a knot of string.”

“Made of Holly and Ivy, with Forget-me-nots.”

“For a spell, a wish to be forever intertwined.”

Tell me a story of ages past,

Speak to me a spell of Hawthorn and protection.

Sing to me, the voices of the forest.

The silent words of flowers,

Of the hidden spirits that walk among us.

In a field of golden Wheat,

Run, run, become the wind.

In the deep forests,

Sleep, sleep, become the earth.

A bed of Holly waits for you,

Beneath the Mistletoe.

Fire burns, fire takes,

Fire renews.

From the grey comes the green,

A new beginning.

So lonely I was,

Until you came.

From loneliness,

I learned to keep hold,

Of the fleeting moments,

That will someday be no more.

Avoid the Nightshade and Nettles,

The black Mulberry and Mandrake.

Follow the Great Maple, the Ivy,

The gentle Edelweiss and the Bitter Root.

In a field of golden Wheat,

Run, run, become the wind.

In the deep forests,

Sleep, sleep, become the earth.

A bed of Holly waits for you,

Beneath the Mistletoe.

Water flows and gives,

Its rage destroys,

Its calm gives life.

So cold is the white snow,

So tall the mountains are,

So close to the clouds above,

Yet so far.

Tell me a story of ages past,

Speak to me a spell of Hawthorn and protection.

Sing to me, the voices of the forest.

The silent words of flowers,

Of the hidden spirits that walk among us.

Don’t leave me,

Don’t go.

Let us be together forever,

Within the forgotten lands,

Among spirits of the past,

Intertwined together.

So lonely I was,

Until you came.

From loneliness,

I learned to keep hold,

Of the fleeting moments,

That will someday be no more.

Let us cast a spell,

To keep hold a while longer,

The time we have together.

So, tie me a knot of string, made with Holly and Ivy.

Give a gift of golden Wheat, with Basil and Thorn Apple.

The words of Freesia, the meaning of Edelweiss.

So silent, so quiet, so speak softly before them.

Before the lonely Yew, holding Cedar and Birch.

Wish well the spirits of Hawthorn.

Before you tie me a knot of string.

Made of Holly and Ivy, with Forget-me-nots.

For a spell, a wish to be forever intertwined.

Always, for eternity,

Even when apart.

Tell me a story of ages past,

Speak to me a spell of Hawthorn and protection.

Sing to me, the voices of the forest.

The silent words of flowers,

Of the hidden spirits that walk among us.

In a field of golden Wheat,

Run, run, become the wind.

In the deep forests,

Sleep, sleep, become the earth.

A bed of Holly waits for you,

Beneath the Mistletoe.

The wind blows,

So free, so gentle, so fierce.

The seeds scatter and spread,

Voices are caught in the wind.

Avoid the Nightshade and Nettles,

The black Mulberry and Mandrake.

Follow the Great Maple, the Ivy,

The gentle Edelweiss and the Bitter Root.

Don’t leave me,

Don’t go.

Let us be together forever,

Within the forgotten lands,

Among spirits of the past,

Intertwined together.

Tie me a knot of string, made with Holly and Ivy.

Even as the world falls apart,

Even if all shall fade,

Tie me a knot of string,

For a spell to be forever intertwined.

To always be two that is one,

Hold me, hold me,

Don’t let go.

Don’t forget,

Don’t let go,

Tell me a story,

Tell me you love me;
