Arenam's Poem or Across the Sea of Sand

Across the sea of sand we wander, underneath the star lit sky.
The wind blows our prayers into the sky, to the white birds of the desert.
Slowly across the sea we go with the wind at are backs and the moon and sun above.
Our hearts follow the beat of the ticking clock, as our feet tread the earth.
The children sing a song for tomorrow, as the sun sets upon the horizon.
We follow the path that is lit with tears, we head towards the place between the stars.
Together and alone, we face the sea of sand as we wander.
Underneath the star lit sky with the moon and sun above, with the wind at our backs.
We wander as we send our prayers to the birds, into the unknown of life.

Babylon

In the darkening twilight between the sun and moon.
The howling winds tears at me as I slowly walk through the endless plain of sand.
In the ruins before me the sun shines its light through the once grand gates of Babylon.
Time stands still in the hazy mirage of the lost days of the ancients'.
The winds holds their forgotten voices within the sands of time.
As it shifts and rises on the plains, an empty silence rings throughout this place.
The silence of Babylon, the myth that we made, now rings throughout the gates that shine in the twilight.
